POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT
“DEVELOPMENT OF A FULLY ADAPTABLE KEYPAD PROTOTYPE FOR SOFTWARE AND VIDEO GAMES DESIGNED FOR PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS”
Nr. NAGS2-IES-2021/10
In March 2022, the project “Development of a fully adaptable keypad prototype for software and video games designed for people with special needs” was started. The project's objective is to develop a new, fully automated 3D prototype construction and online ordering platform. This platform will enable individuals with special needs to easily order new fully customizable controller prototypes for computer programs and video games. As part of this project, a specific environmental goal has been established - to reduce specific indicators affecting the environment as a result of the project.

Simultaneously with the development of the online platform for 3D prototype construction and order placement, there are plans to create and implement various improvements in the production and ordering processes, aiming to reduce not only the time for order placement and processing but also the entire cycle of the product production process.
As part of the project, there is a plan to reduce the development time of a single product to 20 hours, which will lead to a reduction in electricity consumption. In addition to reducing energy consumption in the production process and minimizing the environmental impact of our processes, there is a plan to decrease the rate of defective printed parts from 6% to 1%.
The company has initiated an experimental collaboration with a processing company in Germany. This trial partnership aims to assess the feasibility of establishing a successful cooperation that aligns with the company's requirements and specifications. Approximately 45 kilograms of defective PLA material parts were sent for processing. The establishment and successful consolidation of this cooperation will lead to a reduction in the number of defects that have a negative impact on the environment.
